About Us
A Virginia Main Street Community
The Leesburg Movement is an all-volunteer, independent 501c3 chapter of the Main Street America program. We are a thriving community of business owners and residents of the historic district who are working together to further the economic and cultural vitality of downtown through outreach and advocacy.
Our board works with volunteers to promote businesses and organize events that enhance what is already great about Downtown Leesburg by focusing on these areas:
Organization: Leveraging public figures and the public at large to manage the opportunities and resources of our town
Economic Vitality: Engaging the retailers, restaurant owners, and entrepreneurs who lead downtown’s growth
Promotion: Showcasing the culture of our town through marketing and public relations
Design: Enhancing the beauty of our town while preserving its storied history

Our Board of Directors
Vanessa Borg
Chair
Vanessa and her husband, Josh, live in downtown Leesburg and own CRAFT, an interactive arts and crafts shop on West Market Street. Vanessa formerly worked downtown at King Street Coffee and then Merrill Lynch, and has loved the chance to get to know this community and the people in it from multiple perspectives. She is passionate about small businesses, collaboration, and loves that downtown is full of both.
John Papp
Vice Chair
John is a resident of Leesburg with his wife Casey and daughter Andy. They moved to the area because of its walkability, beautiful downtown, and welcoming community. John hopes more people, especially Leesburg residents, take the time to explore all of the amazing things happening right in their own backyard.
Jason Miller
Treasurer
Jason, a business and economics graduate from the Virginia Military Institute, began his career in New York's intense investment banking world soon after graduation. Unfulfilled, a casual wine education course ignited his passion for wine, leading him to leave corporate life to pursue a career in restaurants & hospitality, opening the Wine Kitchen in 2008.
